A versatile racing with a lot of experience, John started racing mini stocks at Bovingdon in the mid 80s then moved to 2 wheels before coming back to the ovals in 2010.

He started racing a MD Hotrod at Skegness raceways till 2018 when they stopped racing there. In that time John had been 3rd in the good roof race then had a 2nd in the gold roof.

In 2018 he won the gold roof and the points. Over the years he was top 3 in the points before going on to take the title.

Deciding it was time to move on he got a grand prix midget as he always fancied a go in one and held the belief that if you can drive one car you can drive any. This turned out to not be entirely true and going the other way round and in a single seat car was a new experience. It is fair to say that it took some time to adjust but the speed is coming.
